“Being Still” The Lord God instructs us, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!” (Psalm 46:10) Where on earth can we retreat from the clamor and tumult of the world to quieten our souls, and to seek knowledge of God? Everything in our frenetically paced culture distracts us from being alone with our own thoughts for any meaningful length of time. Perhaps it is the longing for introspection and beauty that draws me to places of unspoiled wilderness.

Mabel Lambert and her two grandsons experienced the true meaning of Christmas this past holiday season.

Mabel Bourgeois Lambert was a native and resident of Paulina. She passed away on November 26, 2002. She was known as a strong woman of faith. She devoted a lot of her time to her local church and loved using her talents to help provide food baskets for the needy families.
