Miss St. James Parish Pageant To Be Held On July 30th

The St. James Parish Sugar Queen Committee is proud to announce that on Saturday, July 30th, 2022, we will be celebrating our 69th annual Miss St. James Parish Pageant and our 30th annual Teen Miss St. James Parish. Eight girls from across the parish will compete in the St. James Parish Pageant at St. James Parish Community Center located at 5775 Hwy. 44 in Convent across from St. James Parish Courthouse at 6:00 pm.

Figs are a southern favorite fruit tree, especially in the Gulf Coast states. They are easy to care for, mostly problem-free, and of course the fruit is delicious. Fruit is usually harvested from July into August so hopefully you’re enjoying some now. If not, consider planting one this fall or winter so you can have your own producing in a few years.
