State’s Highest Court Rules In Parish’s Favor And Vacates Apellate Court’s Ruling In Land Use Case

Last week the Louisiana Supreme Court handed down a favorable ruling for St. James Parish, the Parish Council and the Parish’s Planning Commission when it vacated a Fifth Circuit Court of Appeal ruling that said the Parish failed to follow its own Land Use Ordinance when it granted Koch Methanol a land use application (filed July 12, 2023) to install and connect an ethane pipeline to an existing pipeline owned by a third party and located in an area designated as wetlands.
