One local athlete has spent the last five years hitting targets with surgical precision. USA Shooting recently announced that Micah Waguespack, an 18-yearold resident of Gramercy, has officially qualified for the 2026 Rifle Junior Olympic National Championship.

The afternoon will kick off at 1:00 p.m. with the Middle School Girls followed by the Middle School Boys at 2:30 p.m. The High School Girl’s game will tip off at 4:00 p.m. followed by the High School Boys 5:30 p.m.
The OnPath Foundation announced the launch of its 2026 High School Scholarship Program, which will award 25 scholarships of $1,000 each to graduating high school seniors across Louisiana. Applications will be accepted through March 31, 2026.
